At Estrella Middle School we believe that it is our purpose to prepare students for success in high school. To this purpose, we have worked diligently to develop a curriculum that surpasses the expectations outlined in the Arizona State Standards. The staff at Estrella has recognized the need for collective inquiry, collaborative planning, standards-based assessment, and timely intervention to redefine our instructional practices. Our teachers have worked hard to become a fully functioning Professional Learning Community, and as Assistant Principal, it is my duty to support this community in its endeavor to increase student achievement and promote academic success.
Through the establishment of a safe campus, the enforcement of positive student behavior, and the evaluation of instructional practices, I can assist the staff with the education of our students. There is no doubt that the Estrella faculty is fully equipped to meet the needs of our children, but through collaboration, we can reach heights greater than perviously imagined. As we venture through another school year, I look forward to working with all members of this community to develop America’s next generation.
